In an effort to stand out from the 19 other SUNY schools with green as a primary color, SUNY Morrisville made the bold decision to embrace black and white as part of its evolving identity. This choice allowed Appel Osborne to transform its athletic field into a distinctive expression of campus pride and community. Our firm evaluated the existing conditions before designing a new synthetic turf field that accommodates football, soccer, and lacrosse with striking inlaid markings that reinforce the college’s new visual identity. Beyond creating a high-performance venue, the project provided an opportunity to make the athletic experience uniquely Morrisville—creating a memorable destination that captured national attention while strengthening the connection between athletics, campus identity, and community.

  • Existing conditions evaluation to review underlying sub-base and drainage, asphalt, fencing, and building.
  • Replacement of the synthetic turf field which accommodates football, lacrosse, and soccer.
  • Feasibility study for addition of running track around the field.
