Niagara-Wheatfield CSD
Project Details
- Project Type
- Athletic Complexes
As part of the 2018 Capital Improvement Project, Niagara-Wheatfield CSD made the decision to repurpose a natural grass practice field area adjacent the athletic track into a multipurpose synthetic turf complex. To better support their athletics program, the new field accommodates football, soccer, and lacrosse, as well as baseball and softball. The layout of the site allowed for an extension of their existing track and field stadium to an expanded athletics complex, and the configuration of the field with the baseball and softball overlays provided maximum optimization of the site. Project included:
- Track improvements including retaining wall, field event improvements, track repair, and perimeter sidewalk.
- New synthetic turf stadium with inlaid lines for soccer, unified lacrosse, football, softball, and baseball.
- Bleachers and press box, flagpoles.
- Subsurface storm water storage system.
