Sweet Home CSD

Sweet Home CSD believes that their athletics program is integral to the educational and social experience for students, benefitting both student athletes and the community. Their mission is to provide ample opportunities for students to apply and improve their athletic skills through competition, working in tandem with the overall district mission of ensuring the welfare and development of the complete student. To best support their 80 teams across 21 sports, multiple capital projects included athletic facility improvements. Scope of these projects is as follows:

2013 Capital Improvement Project

• Multiple athletic field improvements including an all-weather, multi-sport synthetic turf carpet with infill, padding for turf field, field graphics and lines for baseball, softball, football, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse, field furnishings such as goals, benches, batting cages, foul poles, dugouts, etc.
• Addition of two straight-away lanes and resurfacing of the existing track and field events, and renovation of the stadium natural turf field as a sand based field.
• Other athletic improvements included portable pitcher’s mound and bases, rebuilding of baseball infield and softball field, drainage improvements, site fencing and gates, protective netting.
• Removal of all existing tennis courts and fencing and replace with six new tennis courts with fencing and two new 100-seat portable bleachers.

2026 Multi-Phase Capital Improvement Project

• New synthetic turf baseball and softball fields complete with fencing, backstops, dugouts, scoreboards, field lighting, bleachers, and pedestrian accessibility.
• Athletic track resurfacing and replacement of synthetic turf field.
