Canastota Central School District strives to foster a positive self-image and confidence in their abilities for every student. Student athletic programs play an important role in creating the positive, caring, constructive, and nurturing environment that help students grow. Well-designed spaces give student-athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and strive for excellence—reinforcing the district’s belief that every student can learn, grow, and rise to high expectations. At the same time, athletic facilities serve as gathering places for families and the broader community, strengthening the shared sense of pride and connection that helps prepare students to become responsible, engaged, and productive members of society. The 2021 improvements to the districts athletic facility included:

• New synthetic turf field inside the track.
• All-weather surfacing of the track.
• Drainage improvements.
