South Lewis Central School District’s mission is rooted in preparing students for success—not only through academics, but by creating a safe, positive environment where they can develop the skills, confidence, and habits needed to become productive members of society. Designed to strengthen the school’s athletic environment while creating more opportunities for students to gather and connect, the 2023 Capital Improvement Project brought new life and versatility to the campus. A multipurpose synthetic turf field provides a versatile and functional venue for football, soccer, and lacrosse, while improvements to the varsity softball field enhance both the student athlete and spectator experience. Beyond athletics, the project improved parking and circulation and introduced a new outdoor gathering space for high school students, creating a place for interaction beyond the classroom. From the functional infrastructure below the surface to the welcoming spaces students experience each day, each improvement was thoughtfully integrated to create a campus that supports activity, connection, and school pride.

  • Underground irrigation to softball and football fields.
  • New synthetic turf football, soccer, and lacrosse field inside existing track.
  • Synthetic turf infield at varsity softball field as well as new fencing, backstop, scoreboard, dugouts, and sidewalks.
  • Repaving and asphalt replacement at parking lots.
